Hulshof Royal Dutch Tanneries has a long tradition in manufacturing various leathers. Naturally our experience makes us a top point of contact for the wetblue sector of the leather industry and our global network supplies us with valuable knowledge of the wants and needs in a convoluted market. We have a proven track record on producing a consistantly producing high quality hides with minimal pressure on the environment. By only using fresh hides from a local source we are not required to use (highly damaging) salt.
Our Dutch calf hides are sourced and purchased locally. They are cooled to 5 degrees Celsius and directly transported to our tannery for further processing. Because we have insight in the complete chain (from farmer to
tanner) we can produce a constant quality. Traceability and early diagnosis ensure that we can correct possible errors in a timely manner. Because we do hair saving liming our calf wetblue is excellent for the production of aniline (full grain) shoe leathers. In consultation with our clients we will make sure our tannage is compatible with the retannage and the eventual purpose of the leather.
